Portraits of an Observation
Portraits of an observation
Portraits of an observation is a photographic project carried out more than a decade ago that, until now, has not been exhibited publicly.
The proposal was born from a series of photographic interventions in everyday spaces such as restaurants and bars, where a small portrait set was set up open to the public. There, in a spontaneous and participatory way, people were invited to be photographed, playing freely with their expressions: grimaces, unexpected gestures and uninhibited emotional states.
Far from the traditional portrait, the project explores the human face as a space of expressive freedom, where identity is relaxed and the spontaneous, the humorous and the authentic of the instant emerge.
Today, this archive is being recovered for the first time with the intention of being presented as an exhibition, with the possibility of an itinerant format in different halls and cultural spaces.
A close and lively visual proposal that transforms the act of being portrayed into a shared experience between art, play and everyday life.
